Tech at AISC
At AISC we recognize that integrating technologies into teaching and learning is a deeply human endeavor, so our focus is always on people: what they want to learn, how they want to create, what they want to accomplish and share.
We empower teachers, students, and families alike to search, create, and connect. We ask questions about equity, we use data to inform differentiated and personalized learning, and we develop tools that enhance wellbeing. Technology at AISC allows us to live our mission.
We take an “anyone, anywhere” approach to technology, which informs the design of our infrastructures and tools. We offer our learners fast WiFi and wireless connections to displays for convenient and flexible sharing; tablets, robotics kits, and media production facilities to enhance student opportunities for creativity; A 1:1 iPad program for grades 3-8 and a BYOT (Bring Your Own Technology) program for grades 9-12.
We also take privacy and security seriously. Read our school data privacy policy here: AISC Data Security and Privacy Policy

Bring-Your-Own-Technology
All students from Grades 9-12 bring a device to school to enhance learning and provide opportunities for creation and collaboration. We call this "bring your own technology" because families and students can decide what device makes the most sense for them and their goals, within some basic boundaries.
Transformers
The AISC community works as a team, and the best ideas in technology come from the people who deploy it and use it every day. The Transformers are a group of committed students and faculty who provide ongoing experimental groups, support to colleagues and peers, and expertise to welcome new community members as they join.
Research & Development
As part of our Futures Plan, AISC formed the iLab program and the Research & Development Council to foster innovation in the classroom and to create new opportunities for students and faculty to live the mission of the School. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, create, and courageously develop ideas that shape the future of our learning community.
Classrooms
Regularly updated, rethought and reimagined, our classrooms are flexible, integrated spaces. Teachers can leverage our 1:1 technology program for student projects, communication, and exploration beyond the campus. We invite guest speakers into our spaces from afar, as well as connect our learners to community and worldwide professionals in their search for solutions and inspiration. We provide powerful, flexible, and delightful technologies to empower students to be creative and find their voice, no matter where they are, how they learn, or what inspires them.
