At the American International School Chennai (AISC), learning and technology evolve together. From Early Years to High School, Apple tools empower students and teachers to create, connect, and reflect in ways that make learning personal and purposeful.

Every classroom—over 115 instructional spaces equipped with Apple TVs, 700 student iPads, and 300 MacBooks for faculty—supports collaboration, accessibility, and creativity. Guided by the AISC Core, we use technology to foster belonging across 25 nationalities, bridge languages through translation tools, and amplify student voice.

AISC empowers students to imagine new possibilities through creativity, collaboration, and reflection. Learners use iPads to compose music, design visuals, and code in Swift Playgrounds, connecting imagination with action and turning ideas into expression.

Across sections, technology enhances creative confidence. 79% of Elementary School teachers report that Apple tools help students express learning in innovative ways, and a majority of students value the stylus for its creative capabilities—from sketching ideas to refining designs and making thinking visible. These creative practices make learning tangible, encourage risk-taking, and inspire confidence in every discipline.

With 25 nationalities represented in our classrooms, technology also bridges cultures and languages, supporting our diverse student community through Apple’s translation and accessibility features. Creativity thrives through balance: our “Middle School Away for the Day” policy nurtures digital wellbeing while classrooms celebrate exploration and design.

Our Apple ecosystem of 700 iPads and 300 MacBooks connecting 754 students and more than 100 educators strengthens collaboration and continuity in learning. Almost 80% of teachers report that Apple’s accessibility and translation tools support diverse learners, ensuring every student can access, contribute, and thrive in a multilingual environment.

Technology also amplifies student voice. From digital portfolios that capture reflection and growth to media productions that raise awareness of local issues, AISC students use Apple tools to communicate ideas that inspire change.
