Futures
Our Mission drives us to transform AISC into a learning organization with a culture of innovation to prepare our lifelong learners for the Futures that lie ahead of them.
From our Mission...
Planning for our Futures
At AISC, we have a Mission that dares us to inspire a love of learning in all students and empower them with the courage, confidence, creativity, and compassion to make their unique contributions in a diverse and dynamic world. Our five-year Strategic Plan was a shared vision of a transformed future for AISC. We are working together to understand and describe, not only what we want for our community over the next five years, but also what is possible for us to achieve.
...To Our Strategy
Plans & Pathways for the AISC of Tomorrow
The Futures Planning model is mission-driven and allows for community stakeholder input and participation. By calling our plan a Futures Plan, we embrace views looking forward to considering the relevance of our current and future work, and we acknowledge that AISC’s improvement pathway will be composed of multiple futures that are perhaps not yet apparent to us.
Led by Responsibility & Research...
A Sustainable Future
An important aspect of our Futures plan is ensuring that AISC is an environmentally responsible school. We have committed to a vision of leadership, living, and working, towards a sustainable future. After all, we all have a responsibility to conserve the planet for our generations to come. We have diverse programmes, systems, and teams that devote their energies to the actualisation of this vision. This diversity, and our embracing of it, is captured in our Environmental Responsibility Framework.
About the Framework
The framework is built upon the strength and measurability of the ARC platform, combined with a structural and strategic perspective from AISC. The purpose of this framework is to allow AISC, and other organizations, to see exactly what is measured, where work or learning takes place, and why Environmental Responsibility is important to the School and community.
Why
The Impact Areas are the aspirational focus points that AISC believes will move us and our community forward. We should be aiming to achieve these things in all of our work on Environmental Responsibility.
What
The Environmental Aspects are measurable, tangible areas of the School’s impact on the environment. These are updated regularly and allow AISC to classify the many types of work we do.
Where
The Strategic Areas are physical divisions, of both people, structures, and models of thinking within AISC. Each of these areas has a tremendous influence and attention to them helps to locate where AISC’s successes and challenges lie.
